At 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 3, citizens and residents across the UAE celebrate Flag Day. Flag Day was first celebrated in 2013. The idea was mooted by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, to celebrate the accession of Sheikh Khalifa as President of the UAE in 2004. It is celebrated every year on the anniversary of this day, November 3. This is the ninth year that this celebration is held annually.
